Temporary files created by computer programs for variety of purpose. A temporary file is a file created to hold information temporarily while a file is being created. After the program has been closed, the temporary file should be deleted. But sometimes due to not regular closing the applications like sudden turn off or restart the computer temporary files will not be deleted, those files are stored in hard disk. Temporary files are created for temporary works like copy and saving the browsing history and etc...! The temporary files are stored in the hard disk. So the hard disk performance may low and the speed of the computer decreased. By deleting the temporary files we can able to increase the system performance and speed. Deleting the temporary files is very easy. Temporary files are mostly starting with (~) and ending with .TMP
Steps :
1.%temp%

Go to Run. (Press WINDOWS KEY+R).
Now you will get a folder consists of various temporary files. Select all those files and delete it.

Go to Run. (Press WINDOWS KEY+R).
Then Type temp and hit enter.
Select all files and delete it.

2. prefetch
-----------------------------------
Go to Run. (Press WINDOWS KEY+R).
Then Type prefetch and hit enter.
Select all files and delete it.

That's it. Now the speed of your computer will increase.
Note : Some files may not be deleted because those files are currently running in the background of your system. So before deleting the temporary files close all the running applications like notepad, browser.
